OEM FAQ: MOQ, Lead Time & Compliance

Answers to the most common questions from private label buyers, Amazon sellers, distributors, and clinical partners. Built to reduce risk, speed up decisions, and avoid compliance surprises.

MOQ, Customization & Order Flexibility

Best for startups, first orders, and private label planning.

What is the MOQ for private label nasal strips?
For fully customized private label nasal strips, MOQ is typically 10,000 pieces. Medical substrates are supplied as jumbo rolls, and each production run has fixed setup waste. At ~10,000 pieces, unit cost and batch consistency reach a practical balance for an OEM nasal strips manufacturer.
Can a new brand start with a small order (e.g., 1,000 boxes)?
Yes. For first-time launches, we recommend a low-risk setup: standard shapes plus digital-printed packaging (no plate fees). This helps you validate demand before committing to higher-volume rotogravure packaging.
What is the MOQ for printing a logo directly on the strip?
On-strip printing usually starts at 20,000 pieces+ because it requires dedicated print rollers for alignment and color consistency. If you’re below that volume, keep the strip neutral and put your branding on the retail box / pouch.
Do different colors count as separate MOQs?
Typically yes. Changing color requires a new production setup (material roll swap, cleaning, calibration). For a mouth tape factory or nasal strip line, each color behaves like a separate SKU with its own setup cost.
Can I mix multiple shapes to reduce MOQ?
If the material and color stay the same, we can often discuss a combined total MOQ (e.g., 10,000 pieces total split across two shapes). Tooling fees may still apply per unique die-cut.
Do you offer stock items for private label? What’s the MOQ?
Yes. For selected in-stock standard nasal strips (neutral color, common sizes), we can provide sticker labeling starting from ~500 boxes. This is a fast way to test demand before custom development.
Does ultra-gentle or silicone adhesive change MOQ?
Often, yes. Specialty adhesives may require full-roll procurement and have shorter shelf life, which can raise MOQ to 30,000–50,000 pieces, depending on the formulation and supplier constraints.
What is the MOQ for tin box (metal case) packaging?
Tin packaging typically starts at 3,000–5,000 units. If your first run is smaller, we can produce the full tin MOQ and store the remaining units for your reorders to help stabilize packaging costs.
Digital vs. rotogravure printing: what’s the MOQ difference?
Digital printing usually works from 500–1,000 units with no plate fee—ideal for multi-SKU testing. Rotogravure offers the lowest unit cost and best color range but typically needs 10,000+ units plus plate costs.

Lead Time, Production & Global Delivery

Best for supply chain teams, reorders, and scaling to Amazon FBA or distributors.

What is the production lead time for nasal strips and mouth tape?
Typical lead time is 20–25 days for repeat orders and 30–35 days for first orders (artwork confirmation, tooling, and packaging sourcing). We share a production schedule so you can plan inventory with confidence.
Why does the first OEM order take longer?
First orders include validation steps (artwork proofing, pre-production sampling, tooling, and packaging procurement). Once locked, reorders move faster and stay consistent.
How long does shipping to the US / EU take? Do you offer DDP?
Sea freight is commonly 15–20 days to US West Coast, 30–40 days to US East Coast, and 30–45 days to major EU ports. We support DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) so you can receive goods without handling customs procedures.
Do you provide Amazon FBA prep services (FNSKU, polybagging, kitting)?
Yes. We can handle Amazon FBA labeling and prep (FNSKU, carton labels, polybags, and kitting). There’s no strict MOQ, but very small batches may include a small handling charge due to labor time.
Can you do rush production?
In off-peak periods, we can sometimes shorten timelines. However, adhesive curing is a fixed stability step and is not compressed to avoid residue, edge lift, or inconsistent adhesion.
How fast can you ship samples internationally?
We ship via DHL / FedEx / UPS. Samples usually arrive within 3–5 business days in major US, EU, and AU cities.
What happens if Amazon FBA warehouses are congested?
If FBA appointments are delayed, we can arrange an overseas warehouse buffer. Goods are stored temporarily and delivered to FBA once appointments reopen—reducing stockout risk.
Can you split shipments to multiple warehouses or countries?
Yes. We support split shipments (e.g., multiple FBA locations, distributors, clinics, or different countries) to match your rollout plan.
How do you keep production on schedule and consistent?
We use ERP scheduling, documented QC checkpoints, and weekly progress updates. For OEM projects, we can also share photo/video checkpoints from production and packing.

Compliance, Customs & Platform Risk (FDA / MDR / Amazon)

Best for Amazon sellers, distributors, and clinical brands.

What HS code is commonly used for nasal strips exports?
Many exporters classify nasal strips under HS 3926.90 (other plastic articles), depending on the primary material. Final classification can vary by composition and customs practice, so we provide invoice descriptions and documentation aligned with your shipping lane.
What HS code is commonly used for mouth tape?
Mouth tape is often classified under HS 3919.10 (self-adhesive plastic sheets/films). We use neutral descriptions and consistent paperwork to reduce inspection friction during customs clearance.
Are nasal strips or mouth tape considered medical devices?
It depends on market and claims. General wellness positioning is lower risk; therapeutic claims may trigger medical device requirements. We help align product design, packaging, and documentation with your target channel and region.
Do you provide FDA, ISO 13485, CE (MDR) and ISO 10993 documentation?
Yes. For active OEM projects, we can provide supporting files such as ISO 13485, CE (MDR) information (where applicable), FDA registration details, MSDS, and ISO 10993 biocompatibility summaries for material safety.
How do you help brands avoid Amazon listing takedowns for mouth tape?
We take a conservative approach: safety-vent designs (X-vent / central vent), platform-safe visuals, and compliant wording. This reduces risk for brands selling on Amazon, Shopify, and distributor channels.
Do you offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping for small brands?
Yes. DDP is ideal if you want a hands-off import process. We manage freight, customs clearance, duties, and final delivery to your warehouse or designated address.
What happens if my shipment is inspected by customs?
Inspections are often random. We reduce risk by using neutral product descriptions (e.g., “adhesive strips”), consistent HS classification logic, and ready documentation (material safety and certificates) for smoother clearance.
What support do you provide if a marketplace requests compliance proof?
We can provide a documentation pack for active customers, such as ISO certificates, ISO 10993 summaries, product photos, and declarations to support review or appeals. This is one reason brands choose a compliance-minded nasal strips manufacturer.
Do you have a safety-first approach for pediatric or sensitive-skin products?
Yes. We recommend conservative designs, gentle adhesives, and ventilation options for mouth tape. We can also help you align packaging warnings and channel positioning to reduce safety and platform risk.
